FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I play Sudoku?

Fill every row, column, and 3×3 box with the digits 1–9 exactly once. Click a cell to select it, then press a digit (1–9) on your keyboard or tap a number on the on-screen pad. Press 0, Backspace or Delete to clear a cell. Pre-filled cyan cells are clues and cannot be edited.

How are the puzzles generated?

FuryBee Arcade ships with 12 hand-picked puzzles — 4 per difficulty — plus their solutions, embedded directly in the page. Easy puzzles start with around 40 clues, Medium with 30, and Hard with 22. Press NEW or pick a new difficulty to rotate to another puzzle.

How does Notes mode work?

Tap the NOTES button (or press N) to toggle pencil marks. While notes are on, clicking a digit adds or removes that digit as a small candidate inside the selected empty cell. Toggle NOTES off to go back to placing real values. Entering a final value automatically clears any notes in that cell.

How do I win, and what are mistakes?

You win when every cell is filled and matches the hidden solution — the board will pulse and show your final time. Each confirmed wrong entry counts as a mistake; three mistakes ends the run. Conflicting numbers in the same row, column or box also flash red for an instant as a free hint. You have exactly one HINT button per puzzle that reveals a single correct cell.

Are my progress and stats saved?

Yes — your current puzzle, your filled digits, your pencil notes, the timer and mistake count are stored locally in your browser under sudoku_state. Refreshing the page resumes exactly where you left off. Pressing NEW (or finishing a puzzle) clears that state. Nothing is sent to a server.
